The Glen
Allen Youth Athletic Association is a
charitable, volunteer organization designed to provide a positive
environment for the development of sportsmanship, athletic
skills and character. We operate programs for youth between the ages
of 5 and 18 in baseball, softball and basketball. These
programs are managed in accordance with guidelines set forth by
national and international youth sports organizations. This
organization serves the youth of Glen Allen and West Richmond,
Virginia.

Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association's
mission is to impress upon young people the benefits of physical
fitness within the concept of competitive team sports and the rules of
the sport.
Members of the association shall be
members of good moral character who are interested in the promotion of
the goals of the association. Members must reside within specific
boundaries set by the organizations with which we are affiliated.
Below are our goals.
- To provide a proper and safe
sports environment for our youth.
- To enhance the emotional,
physical, social and education well-being of our youth.
- To appoint, evaluate, educate and
support the managers and coaches who will instruct our
participants, keeping in mind the best interests of our children
- To assure basic levels of
knowledge and instruction are introduced at each level of play.
- To encourage parents to take an
active role in the youth sports experience of their child and our
association.
- To adequately communicate to our
members, all policies and rules changes in policies and rules,
activities, events and any other pertinent information.
- To guarantee equal opportunity for
membership to all youth regardless of race, creed, sex, economic
status or ability.

Glen Allen registers children for the
various sports at selected times through out the year.
Registration for the Basketball season is usually held on selected
nights in September. Registration for the Softball/Baseball
season is held on selected nights in December and January. Glen
Allen conducts an early and late registration with a price break for
registering early.
When participating in early
registration, fees are $65 per player and a $10 annual family
membership fee, with a maximum of $120 per family. When
participating in late registration, fees are $75 per player and a $10
annual family membership fee, with a maximum of $150 per family.
If early and late registration are
missed, assuming there are openings, the cost will be $65 per player
plus the $10 annual family member fee and a $15 late fee with a family
maximum of $150.
When participating in the Glen Allen
league, you agree to return all issues equipment and uniforms as
requested, work the concession stand as assigned and agree to
participate in the Hit-A-Thon Fundraiser.
