Let The Games Begin

 On Friday, April 16, 2010, Glen Allen
Youth Athletic Association held their annual Carnival and Opening
Ceremonies celebration. Around 1,100 players and coaches lined up and
marched onto the field as their team name was announced. Special Guest
was Mr. Richard Glover, Brookland District Supervisor. Mr. Glover spoke
to the crowd as well as assisted in the throwing out of the first
pitch. Players who threw out the first pitch were as follows: Madison
Hinton - Softball, Tommy Williams - Baseball and Ryan McGuire - Buddy
Ball.
Special thanks goes to Mr. Glover and Henrico County's Recreation and
Parks staff who worked diligently to make this event run so smoothly.
