Who is the Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association?
The Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association was established in 1965 and has been affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball Organizations from the beginning. As time progressed, the Association added basketball to its offerings. The Association is a charitable, volunteer organization designed to provide a positive environment for the development of sportsmanship, athletic skills and character. We offer programs for youth between the ages of 3 and 16 in baseball, 4 and 16 in softball, and 6 and 18 in boys' and girls' basketball. The baseball and softball programs are managed in accordance with guidelines set forth by national and internationals youth sports organizations. This organization primarily serves youth of Henrico County, but also represents western Hanover County, City of Richmond and western Chesterfield County.
We have the motto " no kid left behind" and will inner league with fellow district 3 communities, to provide a welcoming environment to feel safe and have fun! This means that teams will play at our fields / courts and we will play at theirs'.
Baseball may play: Sandston, Varina, Lakeside and Rockville
Softball may play: Rockville, Sandston, Varina, New Kent, Lakeside, and Charles City
Basketball may play: Beaverdam and Rockville
